
Modern wooden house by Feldman Architecture
During the renovation, a new wing was added to the house. It contains a garage, bedroom suites and studio office space. Roof and upper floors in the middle of the house was cut to add more than natural light into the kitchen and living room. The window is made bigger to connect the house with the exterior. This lodge the 1860’s is one of the oldest house in San Francisc’s Bernal Heights and had been abandoned for years long before it was renovated Feldman Architecture. It was repaired, become larger and added a touch of modernism to it. Now, it is a modern house with rural charm of an old cottage that has everything you need to live comfortably. wood and rough stone mixed with clean glass and metal are very stylish yet comfortable.

It takes full advantage of views by leaving a place to stay to pursue them without restriction. Wood and copper is a material development Durning chose this house and make it quite unusual. Only one of the materials used are not bio-ecology – the concrete foundation. The house is situated in one of the sunniest southern Switzerland with beautiful scenery around.

The house is made of different materials that surprising any other changes, including concrete blocks, dark wood and concrete pre-printed white. This has a rectangular shape and connects the front yard to the backyard. public areas such as living room, dining room and kitchen are located on the first flor while the three bedrooms are upstairs along with a terrace featuring vies for the port. The house was for a single family and the main contribution to the street where it is located is a facade sculptures made of cast concrete.
