Overall structure is carved in the rock solid and architects to leave most of the same stone in the living room and bathrooms as reminders of nature. The roof is made of concrete, insulated with Foamglas and then clad with sheet metal. Villa Astrid is one of the beautiful work by the design studio Wingardhs in a dramatic landscape of Western Sweden. Important parameters for the design of Villa Astrid is dictated by local building code, which governs the 3.5-meter high roof, and roof pitch between 14 and 27 degrees.
